Whanganui WWTP, apart from a few buildings and some re-usable equipment has been totally rebuilt.
The Head Contractor was Downer Infrastructure and we worked with our parent company Service Engineers to provide a complete solution.
The project was completed mid early 2018
While the consultants designed the process and provided a specification, Generic Drawings, Single Line Diagrams and schedules, the Project was for the Detailed Design and Build. We produced all of the detailed drawings and schedules in house.
There is the standard waste water plant equipment that is installed in Gas Hazardous areas. Due to the additional sludge drying process, an explosive dust was introduced that also needs to have the correctly rated equipment selected and installed.
